Our History

Ranbuild has been supplying steel buildings to the Australian and world markets for more than 60 years.  Ranbuild had its beginnings in Newcastle in 1949, manufacturing specialized horizontal grain sheds, and bulk handling equipment known as “Farmatic”.

In the early 70’s the business became a public company , eventually being sold to the late Kerry Packer. The building side of the business later became R&N Steel Buildings which then became Ranbuild. In 2004 Ranbuild was sold to Lysaght Building Solutions Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of BlueScope Steel, one of Australia’s largest and most respected building companies with an outstanding record of quality, service and reliability.

Our Systems

Ranbuild has developed a highly sophisticated and integrated building order and data processing system RDS. RDS (Ranbuild Design Software) prepares customer quotations, architectural drawings and detailed engineering drawings quickly and accurately.

RDS is quick and efficient, enabling the production of accurate material lists and purchase orders. RDScan electronically places orders for manufacture without error or delay.

RDS is live. Building designs and data records are continuously under review and updated frequently.
