Ranbuild buildings are manufactured and packed in factories all around
Australia and South East Asia. Every order is double checked to maintain accuracy and
quality, and delivered to the customer in a complete pack.

Where
can I see Ranbuild buildings ... ?
Ranbuild
building kits are distributed within Australia by a dedicated and
trained group of accredited specialists. These local companies and
individuals have 'Display Sites' where a selected range of buildings
are erected just for the purpose of customer inspection. Most of the
colours and options are also on display for your benefit. You are
welcome to call in at any time, even if it is only to have a look
around.
There are
many more buildings in use by previous Ranbuild customers of course
and your nearest Ranbuild Team will make arrangements for a tour of them
if you require. The details of your local Ranbuild
Team are listed on the
'Contact' page and you can get there at any time by clicking
on the buttons at the top of each page.
In
this
day and age it is important to see what you are buying. Drawings of
buildings in newspaper advertisements all look alike, but in real
life there may be substantial differences. The simple facts are, no
one can afford to offer a cheaper building than every one else
without cutting corners. Ranbuild have nothing to hide and encourage
you to inspect the product before
purchasing.

Do
I need approval to construct a Ranbuild building ... ?
In most
cases, the answer is yes. Certainly in Domestic, Commercial or
Industrial locations. You may also need building approval in some
Rural areas as well. Ranbuild buildings are designed to meet the
relevant building codes in most areas and full engineering
documentation will be allowed for if requested at time of quotation.
On receipt of a deposit and signed order, these documents will be
prepared for issue.
Ranbuild
design and engineering is carried out by a team of consulting
engineers who constantly cross check their calculations and systems
with the current building code requirements. You can always be
assured that Ranbuild buildings will meet the demands of local
building authorities.
There are
many factors influencing the suitability of a building for each and

Will
Ranbuild construct my building for me ... ?
Ranbuild
buildings are supplied in complete kits and include comprehensive erection
instructions for owner assembly. If you don't have the time or
confidence, Ranbuild
Team members will arrange for construction of your
building at very competitive rates. They are in constant contact with
experienced erection teams who have the skills to assemble buildings
for clients; they may even be able to show you some of their previous
work.
The
same
applies to concreting and other trades. Many Ranbuild
Teams offer
a complete turn-key service to their customers for both small or
large buildings. This concept is very popular these days because it
means the whole project will go together faster and more economically
than a custom designed and made alternative.
If
you do
decide to construct your own building, Ranbuild provide comprehensive
footing details and holding down bolts or mountings with every kit. A
complete Bill-Of-Materials, cladding layout and basic assembly
details are also included. Ranbuild do suggest however, that
inexperienced purchasers seek the guidance or assistance of a
tradesman or builder before commencing and during any construction
work.

Can
I buy Ranbuild buildings on-line ... ?
The answer is yes, and the choices are almost unlimited. Ranbuild
make over a dozen different types, models and designs of sheds,
garages, shelters, and buildings. Combined with the various options
such as roof styles, pitches, spans, lengths and heights, then with
the addition of an awning or annexe, doors, windows or skylights,
tens of thousands of different buildings are possible.
At Ranbuild, you don't have to buy a shed the same as everyone else.
You have the option to choose exactly the dimensions, shape and style you
want. You nominate the quantity, size and location of important items
such as roller or sliding doors and windows. You have complete control

Do
Ranbuild have a finance system ... ?
Your
local Ranbuild
Team can arrange a finacing package to suit your
situation or requirements. Financing is a specialized business and a
good financier may be able to explain additional
advantages such as leasing or offsetting costs, etc.
One
of the reasons why Ranbuild trades only in prior payment or uses
established financiers rather than its own resources is to eliminate
bad debts.
Ranbuild does not need to add a percentage to the price to cover bad
debts or collection. Without that burden, Ranbuild are in a position
to always offer the best possible price and still be around to
service their clients in the future. A guarantee or warranty is of
little use if the supplier cannot meet his financial commitments or
has gone out of business.

Why
do Ranbuild use vertical wall cladding ... ?
There
are several good reasons. First and foremost, Ranbuild buildings
are portal frame type which means the main structural frames are at
wide intervals and connected with horizonal members. In addition, these
members support the roof and wall cladding which may only be
fastened in vertical format.
To
accommodate horizontal cladding, additional supports need to be added
causing an immediate increase in material and erection costs. Weather
flashing around openings and corners also need to be profiled by hand
to achieve effective seals and acceptable appearance. Expansion and
contraction of long lengths of horizontal cladding may cause distortion
or gaps at joins and corners whereas vertical cladding grows and
shrinks with the building.
The most common reason for not using ribbed or corrugated cladding
horizontally is that it retains dust and dirt which can develop
into mould. Horizontally clad buildings regardless of the material
used need to be regularly cleaned or washed down to maintain their
original
appearence.

Is
there a guarantee on Ranbuild buildings ... ?
There
most certainly is; several in fact. First and foremost, all products
and services provided within Australia are covered by the Australian
Government's Trade Practices Act. This act sets out the guidelines
that suppliers must comply with in regards to many things as well as
guarantees and warranties for consumer protection.
All
Ranbuild buildings are designed in accordance with the SAA (Standards
Association of Australia) building codes. They are warranted against
faulty design by the engineers so long as the building is constructed
in accordance with the engineering documentation specified for that
building.
Framing
and cladding materials used in Ranbuild buildings are guaranteed by
BlueScope Steel Pty Ltd in accordance with their warranty terms and
conditions. Your Ranbuild
Team can show you a copy of the general
terms and arrange a written guarantee of up to fifteen (15) years if
applicable. (You will first need to complete a declaration about your
building purpose and location, etc.)
Important! Guarantees are not worth the paper they are written on if
the guarantor goes out of business. Some $2 companies offer
'lifetime' guarantees without the financial ability or assets to back
it up! Be aware.

Why

There are
many reasons why Ranbuild make such a claim and they are explained on
the pages that comprise this web site. Ranbuild and its Resellers
firmly and honestly believe the value for money, service, range and
quality of products is second to none.
There is
is one thing not listed elsewhere that guarantees and backs up
Ranbuild's claim. Ranbuild run and maintain an internal quality
assurance research and development system. Every new component and
design is rigorously tested before it is released for general use.

components.
This photo shows one of several test beds where structural members
and their connection components are tested to the point of
destruction.
Destruction testing confirms our engineers calculations and sets the
safety margins for components and buildings alike.
Every conceivable test is carried out and carefully recorded.
Deflection, rotation, distortion and finally, destruction.
Angles, braces, cleats and members are all subject to the same
torture. The results are then fed into our computers for analysis and
final recommendations.
Even simple things such as base connectors go through Ranbuild's
testing program.
This series of base plates have just completed tests for up-lift and
horizontal deflection. As you can see, they weren't destroyed; even
after applying three times the design load the plates never
budged.
The Ranbuild infinite test bed allows us to apply loads to structural
members representing both live and dead loads. In real life, this
equates to wind and snow load to the building exterior and internal
pressures as well.
Ranbuild test all new sections and designs in a similar manner. The
tests and resulting data are usually far more accurate and more
comprehensive than information supplied by the original manufacturer.
There are many more tests like these being carried out. Unfortunately
we cannot show them here because they are top
secret ( we wouldn't want our competitors finding out, now would
we).
